Race Europe: The Ultimate Endurance Challenge

This is the final chapter of the Yorkshire Beast trilogy – a record-breaking ride from the northernmost point of Europe to the edge of Africa.

Starting at Nordkapp in Arctic Norway, four elite cyclists will descend through the entire European continent over little more than 2 weeks, covering approximately 6,000 Km (3,750 miles) at a minimum average of 350Km (220 miles) per day. This isn't just a race against distance – it's a battle against diverse terrain, extreme weather conditions, and the limits of human endurance.

From the midnight sun of the Arctic Circle, through Scandinavian forests, across the lakes of Finland, through the heart of the Baltics, Poland and Germany, into rural France, over the Pyrenees, and down through Spain to Tarifa – where Europe meets Africa across the Strait of Gibraltar.

The Route

Starting at Nordkapp, the northernmost point in Europe, four cyclists will embark on a descent through the continent powered by pedals, spokes, grit and determination.

The route crosses at least 10 countries – Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, France and Spain with Switzerland and Czechia to be determined.

The gruelling daily distances, amount of time on the bike per day and lack of hours sleep are still in the advanced planning phase, but the target is clear – cycle from the top to the bottom of Europe, in the fastest time possible as a team, and raise a significant amount of money for charity

The entire challenge will be documented through the Endurance Podcast, giving you an insider's perspective on one of the most ambitious cycling challenges ever attempted.

The podcast launches at the Adventure Travel Show in London in January 2026, building momentum through the spring as the team prepares. Follow the training, the setbacks, the victories, and ultimately the epic journey itself as it unfolds in real-time from Nordkapp to Tarifa.
