The Yorkshire Beast 2024
BIKE AROUND YORKSHIRE
The Yorkshire Beast cycling challenge was a success, raising an impressive £16,458 for the Alzheimer's Society. This gruelling event, which took place from June 28th to July 1st, 2024, pushed cyclists to their limits while supporting a worthy cause.
An Extreme Test of Endurance
Starting in Sutton-in-Craven, participants embarked on a 450-mile journey through the stunning Yorkshire landscape. Over the course of four days, cyclists conquered an elevation gain of 29,000 feet—equivalent to scaling Mount Everest. The challenge was divided into two groups, with one completing the route in four days and another tackling it in just two.

The Challenge

A Collaborative Effort for Change
The event saw strong support from our main sponsor, Enjoy Travel, along with generous contributions from our other sponsors: Europcar, EF-group, Clarion Solicitors, Pot Gang, and Wheelbase. Enjoy Travel's CEO joined the Ultra6 team for the full 4-day event, demonstrating the company's commitment to the cause. The funding contributions from these sponsors greatly helped support the cause and were visibly represented through branding on the racing team's cycling kit and pre-launch shirts.
Surpassing Fundraising Goals
The event raised an impressive £16,458 for the Alzheimer's Society, surpassing initial fundraising goals and showcasing the tremendous support from participants, sponsors, and donors. The funds raised went directly to the Alzheimer's Society, supporting individuals living with dementia and their loved ones. This successful event not only challenged cyclists physically but also united a community in support of a vital cause.
